Linda Sue Jarvis Barnett

Linda Sue Jarvis Barnett, 72, of Summersville, formerly of Cowen, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 1, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 12, 1953, in Richwood, a daughter of the late Ada Jarvis.

Linda was a graduate of Cowen High School and formerly worked at the Y-Mart and Foodland before becoming a care giver at nursing homes and an home care provider. She was a worker always willing to help others. She enjoyed watching her fish tank and being around family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Robin Wells of Cowen, Rodney Barnett of Cowen, Nichole Davis of Winfield, Ronnie (Amanda) Barnett of Muddlety, brothers, Phillip (Yvonne) Jarvis, Paul (Lin) Jarvis, George (Diane) Jarvis, Leslie (Vicky) Jarvis, Harold (Peggy) Jarvis, grandchildren, Brittany Harmon (Chris), Brandi Hatfield (Austin),Tyler Hatfield (Kelsey), Jason Barnett, Kerastine Brewer, Nickara Mills, Shane Mills (Asyia), Brooke Barnett (RJ), Wyatt Barnett, Destiny (Oneil), Jacklynn Barnett, Dalton Barnett, Michael Barnett, Brian (Bee) Nevaeh, Briella Beaver, Kourtnee Allen, Brianna Hines, 19 great-grandchildren and many other extended family and friends.

In addition to her mother, grandson, Jermia Barnett preceded her in death.

Services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Doug Martin and Brother Larry Armentrout officiating. Burial will follow at the Woods Cemetery, near Cowen. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
