Lester Earl Russell, Sr.

Lester Earl Russell, Sr., 74 of Charleston, WV passed away on November 26, 2024. He was born in Richwood the son of the late Garrell Russell and the late Dovey Fields.

Lester was a coal miner for 27 years with Console mining. He loved coal mining. He enjoyed fishing, working around the house, doing home improvements, and helping his family any way he could.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Lester Russell, Jr. and Randell Russell; sisters, Cordella Hamrick, Margaret Sanson and Sharon Hollandsworth; grandchildren, Trin Russell, Austin Russell and Brayden Russell.

Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Morris Funeral Home in Cowen with Pastor Craig Williams officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until time of the service.

Burial will follow at 1:00 at Memorial Gardens in Calvin, WV.
