Lee "Buster" Elwood Casteel

Lee “Buster” Elwood Casteel, 67 of Cowen, passed away January 4, 2018 at his home. He was born October 18, 1950 in Newburg, WV, a son of the late George Everett and Margie Temple Casteel.

Lee was a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served as a Ranger in the U.S. Army. He worked as a contractor in Virginia. He loved to hunt and fish and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by son, Christopher Casteel and companion Nancy of Richwood and daughter, Angie Elliott of Hopewell, Va. Sisters: Susie (John) Lochbihler of Wilmington, NC, Paula Garett (Carla) of Kingwood, WV, Patty (Bucky) Barnette of Fairmont, and Dolly (Dan) Bragg of Craigsville. Brothers Mark (Terry) Casteel of Cowen, Randy Temple of Cowen, and Glenn Temple of Cowen. Grandson Cody Casteel, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers George Everett Casteel Jr. and Robert Allen Temple.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 5:00-7:00pm at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Damon Cemetery in Newburg, WV. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.morrisfuneralhomecowenwv.com.
