Kristel Janene Bean

Kristel Janene Bean, 53, of Cowen passed away at her home, August 21st 2025. She was born March 18th 1972 in Richwood. She is the daughter of the late Richard Wayne Bean Sr and Joy Edevea Bean of Cowen.

Kristel was a 1990 graduate of Webster County High School. She was employed at Webster Health Care for many years.

She spent her time with family, drinking coffee, playing card games and laughing. She enjoyed going to all her daughters and grandchildren’s sporting events. Especially loved watching McKenna play volleyball and Zoey cheer during games. She didn’t want to miss a game where she could be watching Charley, Eli and Bryson play basketball. She also enjoyed spending time with her younger grandchildren Kya, Kenzie, Everleigh, Sutton and Presley playing games, reading them books and just embracing them with love. If she wasn’t doing that she was trying to beat Barrett at Wordscapes. She loved her family very much.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard Hinkle; daughters, Ashley (Zachary) Rogers of Craigsville, McKenna Bean and Zoey Bean of Cowen. Son Joshua (Sara) Selman of Cowen. Her “other son” Logan (Krista) Bean of Cowen. Her stepchildren; Bert Hinkle and Sydney Hinkle of Tennessee. Her brothers; Richard Bean and Paul Bean of Cowen. Sisters; Keri Travis of Craigsville, Donna Brulinski of Pennsylvania, Roberta Bennett of Cowen and Patricia Bean of Braxton. Her grandchildren; Charley Selman, Eli Rogers, Barrett Rogers, Sutton Rogers, Bryson Wise, Everleigh Selman, Kya Payne, Kenzie Hamrick and Presley Wise. She was the “Aunt Mamaw” to Harper Bean, Elaina Bean and Logan Bean Jr.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Richard Bean Sr and brother Robert (Bob) Bean.

A gathering for family and friends will be held at 5pm followed by services at 7pm on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Morris Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Martin officiating.

Kristels wishes to be cremated will then be honored.
