Kenneth Mack Smith

Kenneth Mack Smith, 69, of Craigsville, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Hidden Valley Center, Oak Hill, West Virginia. He was born July 3, 1949 in Richwood, a son of Vanita Gaye Hinkle and the late Kendle Mack Smith.

Mack was a 1968 graduate of Richwood High School and attended Kent State University. He was a Vietnam Veteran, a member of the 101st Airborne Division. He was a former Butcher for Superior Meats and worked in construction. Mack was a member of the P.T.S.D. Group in Summersville and he enjoyed traveling, watching tv, reading, fishing, hunting and listening to music.

Surviving are his sons, Eric (Pam) Smith of Ohio, and Greg (Shelly) Smith of Ohio, mother, Vanita Gaye Hinkle of Camden on Gauley, brothers, Bernard (Judy) Smith of Yorktown, Virginia, Terry (Linda) Smith of Cowen, half-brothers, Rusty (Julie) Jarvis of Camden on Gauley, Johnny (Annette) Smith of Ohio, Kendle (Susan) Smith of Virginia, half-sisters, Sherry Porsch of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jenny (Mike) Lawrence of Ohio. 4 Grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Friends may call from 12:00 until 1:00pm. Saturday at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen. Graveside Service with Pastor Terry Cunningham officiating and Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #62, will follow at the Smith Family Cemetery, Upper Glade.
