June E. Green Cogar

June E. Green Cogar, 87, of Cowen, passed away at Webster County Memorial Hospital on June 1, 2018 after a short illness. June was born September 15, 1930 in Sutton, WV, a daughter of the late Franklin and Mary Thayer Green.

June loved going to church, car rides and watching TV. She enjoyed spending time with family and just enjoyed living.

She is survived by children, Diane Carpenter of Cowen, Denzil (Trixie) Cogar of Michigan, Elizabeth Vines of Cowen, Sharon Ringsborg of Virginia, Larry Cogar of Cowen, and Terry (Judy) Cogar of Webster Springs. Siblings: John Green of Ohio, Betty Cutlip of Ohio, Lillian Carpenter of Cowen and Barbie Carter of Ohio. 19 Grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denzil Carl “Buck” Cogar, sons, Donald Cogar and Charles Cogar. Siblings: Bill, Pete, Steve, Oley, Ester Belknap, Deloris Messer, Ella Dean Grover.

Services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 1:00pm at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Pastor Carmel Sanson officiating. Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin, WV.
