Judy Ann Carpenter

Judy Ann Carpenter, 72, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Oak Hill, West Virginia passed away Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Whispering Oaks Rehabilitation Center, Tampa after an extended illness. She was born on May 18, 1952, in Richwood, a daughter of the late Everett and Nellie Bussey Lyons.

Judy was a former Day Care Center Director and a certified nursing assistant. She loved anything Mary K, attended the Church of God and enjoyed spending time with her family and k9 companion Marley.

Surviving is her loving husband of 54 years, Charles “Ed” Carpenter, sons, Thomas (Michelle) Carpenter of OH and Charles Carpenter/Teddy Hafer of FL, sisters, Carolyn (Jerry) Dennison of Florida, Linda (Gary) Isenhart of Cottle, brother, John (Colleen) Lyons of Richwood, a very special grandson Jack Carpenter and many other extended family and friends made over the years.

In addition to her parents, brothers, Hubert Lyons, Jake Lyons, David Lyons, Walter Lyons and Frank Lyons preceded her in death.

Service will be held at 1:00pm. Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Allen Sanson officiating. Burial will follow at the West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.morrisfuneralhomecowenwv.com
