Johnny Ray Stout

Johnny Ray Stout, 71, of Camden on Gauley passed away on September 27, 2025, at Summersville Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Johnny was born in Webster Springs on December 5, 1953, the son of the late Floyd Stout and the late Lenore Miller Stout.

He was previously employed by Rico fabrication company and was an auto, diesel, and heavy equipment mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising a garden, and his two dogs, Chase and Darla. Johnny especially enjoyed spending time with his childhood friend Charles, working on vehicles, splitting wood, and taking any project, they could get into together.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 31 years, Teresa Stout; son, Shawn (Carrie) Stout of Oklahoma; daughter, Krystal (Jarrod) Clawson of Ohio; step daughter, Rhuie (Mike) Crouch of Ohio; step son, Joshua (Sharon) Huff of Ohio; siblings, Pauline Moats and Lesley Stout both of Ohio and Susan Wilkins of West Virginia; half-brothers, Floyd “Charlie” McCourt and Timothy McCourt, both of West Virginia; sister in law, Debra Thomas of Ohio; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sout, Trystin Stout, Dylan Collins-Huff, Tori Chipley, Kayla Burgett, Steven Burgett, Alex Sayre and Kari McCulloch; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and loyal friends, Charles Thomas and Larry Finneyfrock.

Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with eulogy by Chuck Skeens. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00pm until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Johnny’s wishes for cremation will then be honored.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Morris Funeral Home to assist in funeral arrangements.
