John William Peyatt

John William Peyatt,75, of Craigsville, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the Summersville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 14, 1944 in Craigsville, a son of the late George Morgan “Pat” and Arilla Case Peyatt.

John was a dedicated truck driver for Fayette Supply Company with over 20 years of service. He enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycles, wood working, collecting knives and spoiling and loving all his grandchildren. John was a Baptist by Faith.

Surviving are his children, Christine Smith, Tina (Steve) Tinnel, Robin (Roy) Corbitt and John Peyatt, all of Craigsville, Cheri (Phillip) Hanna of Fenwick and Brandi (Cory) Swafford of Tennessee, brothers, Jack Peyatt, George Peyatt, Charlie Peyatt, Skip Peyatt and Henry Peyatt, sister, Grace Hinkle, grandchildren, Erica, Alannie, Alisha, Amber, Destiny, Tonya, Melissa, Andrea, Alex, Jakob, Tiffany, Phillip Jr., and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, brother, Jim Peyatt and sisters, Bessie Damewood, Roxie Donaldson and Dessie Peyatt, and spouse Edna Graves Peyatt preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 11:00am Monday, December 9, 2019 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Tom Kessler officiating. Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial. Calvin, West Virginia.

Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:00pm Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the funeral home.
