Joan’s wishes for cremation have been honored. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1:00pm at Morris Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joan’s memory to Cowen Food Pantry C/O (Linda Dyer) P.O. Box 476 Cowen, WV 26206 to help fill backpacks for school children and families in Cowen, WV.

Joan B. Frame of Cowen, WV, passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 78.
Joan was born on April 19, 1946 in Jodie, WV, to Randell Bragg, Sr. and Garnet Bragg of Cowen, WV. She grew up in Cowen. She graduated from Cowen Grade School and Cowen High School. Later, she became a licensed practical nurse, dedicating her career to caring for countless patients. Despite her professional commitments, Joan was also a full-time mother, balancing her responsibilities with grace and dedication.
Joan was married to Wade T. Frame for 40 years before his passing.
Joan is survived by her two sons, Thomas Williams of Cowen, WV and Fred Williams (Julie) of Raleigh, NC, and her brother, Randell Bragg, Jr.
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews:
Joanie Mace Coley and family, Jill Mace Petersen and family, Donna Bush, Debbie Boley, John Mace (Cindy) and family, Bobby Mace and family, Randell Bragg, III and family, and Clifford Bragg.
Additionally, her brother-in-law Dr. Robert Mace survives her.
Joan’s most significant accomplishments were her dedication to her family and her compassionate care for others. Throughout her life, she selflessly cared for elderly family members and was deeply passionate about helping young children and families in her community. She frequently donated food, clothing, and school supplies to those in need, and her advice and wisdom were often sought by young families in Cowen.
Joan will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and devotion to her family and her community. She had a deep concern for the well-being of others, particularly children and struggling families, and her contributions left a lasting impact.
Joan’s life was a testament to the power of selfless love and compassion, a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
