Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen. Burial will follow at the Alex Williams Cemetery, Cranberry Ridge. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00pm until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

(Jim) James W. Morrison, 70, of Craigsville, WV, formerly of Moundsville, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday May 1st, 2025 surrounded by family.
Jim was born Sept. 23, 1954 in Camden on Gauley, WV to the late Ray H. Morrison and Agnes G. Morrison. He was a 1972 graduate of John Marshall High School and retired as a coal miner of 36 years from Shoemaker and was also the owner of Grave Creek Taxidermy in Moundsville, WV. Jim loved hunting, getting to travel to Canada, Wyoming, Alaska and South Africa. He loved sharing pictures and stories of his trips. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, teaching his children and grandchildren the importance of good work ethic and making time for family. He will be extremely missed by his friends and family.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Ray H. Morrison and Agnes G. Morrison of Craigsville.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Billie Morrison of Craigsville, WV, his daughters Angie (Jeff) Stewart of Cottle, WV and Jessi (Sterling) Morrison of Moundsville, WV. His grandchildren whom he loved deeply, James and Morgan Stewart of Cottle, WV, Faith, Tricia and Bubba Ward of Moundsville, WV. His great Grandchildren, Leland and Brantlee Stewart of Cottle, WV.
His sisters, Martha (Ron) Posey of Craigsville, WV, Linda Kersten of Moundsville, WV, Joan (Buttons) Hooker of Moundsville, WV, Julia Morrison of Oregon and his brother Ray (Wanda) Morrison of Virginia. As well as many nieces and nephews.
