Howard was a fellow Mental Hygiene Commissioner. He also graduated from law school with my brother and law partner. I have known Howard for over 44 years. He loved serving the people of Webster County in various capacities. Webster County will miss him. We in the law community will miss him. His clients in Central West Virginia will miss him. I always enjoyed conversing with Howard and discussing his views on a wide range of subjects. Rest easy Howard. Terry and I will always remember you. Tim Butcher

I was sorry to hear of Howard’s passing. I’ve litigated against him, with him and ruled on some of his cases. He was a good lawyer and it was a pleasure to know him. I’m sure that he will be greatly missed.
