Henry Michael Armentrout

Henry Michael Armentrout, 73, of Meadow Fork Road, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at his residence after a short illness. He was born December 1, 1950, in Upper Glade, a son of the late Charles Henry and Christine Utt Armentrout.

Mike was a 1969 graduate of Cowen High School and then went to work for many years as a coal miner for Island Creek Coal Company. He then went to work for the state of West Virginia as a mine inspector until his retirement. He was the former president of U.M.W.A. Local 1938 Buckhannon, West Virginia. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising, and training his rabbit and show dogs.

Surviving is his loving wife, Barbara Armentrout, children, Jason (Shannon) Armentrout of Mt. Nebo, Laura Jo Armentrout (Everett) Hubbard of Winston Salem, North Carolina, stepchildren, Paula (Dwayne) Vandevender of Webster Springs, Lori (Derrick) Littleton of Alabama, sister, Kathy Addington of Winfield, grandchildren, Kaleb, Ashley, Miranda, Jenson, Lucas, Seth, Megan, Logan, Loryn, Brevin and many friends and co-workers made over the years.

In addition to his parents, brothers, Charles Armentrout, William Armentrout, sisters, Wilda Williams, and Betty Stanley preceded him in death.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2024, at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin with Pastor Christopher Stanley officiating.
