Harry Emerson Coffman, 68, of Craigsville passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
He was born April 17, 1949 in Sutton, a son of the late Otis Ray and Gussie Palmer Coffman. Harry was a logger having worked over 50 years in the woods. He was a Christian by Faith who loved the Lord. Harry enjoyed hunting, going to church, helping others in their time of need and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Cogar Coffman, children: Mark (Tammy) Coffman of Summersville, John (Ruth) Adkins Jr. of Cottle, Rebecca Williams of Camden on Gauley, Megan (Bobby) Coffman of Richwood, Karlee Coffman, Tony Coffman and John Adkins III all of Craigsville; sisters, Sharon (Danny) Brown of Flatwoods and Gloria (John Ray) Salisbury of Erbacon; grandchildren: Ryan Coffman, Isaac Coffman, Draven White, Dalton Lough, Walker Lough and Emma Stowers, great grandson, Kristopher Coffman, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, brother, Odie Darrell Coffman, sisters, Ruth Gordon, Betty Cornwell and Barbara Knight preceded him in death.
Service will be 2:00pm. Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Mark Coffman and Pastor Leon McKinney officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 until time of service Sunday at the funeral home. In keeping with Harry’s wishes, cremation will follow the service.
