Gaye Elaine Collett

Gaye Elanie Collett, 67, born February 7, 1959, passed away on September 7, 2026 at Webster Healthcare Center.

Gaye was born and raised in Cowen, West Virginia. She graduated from Webster County High School in 1979. She and her husband, James D. Collett, lived in Clarion, Pennsylvania, for many years. During her time there, Gaye worked at Dollar General.

Gaye was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Collett; her father, James Edward Young; her mother, Clarise King Young; and her brother, Donnie Plum; beloved cat Penny.

She is survived by step-son David James Collett; Katherine Susan Short, who was raised as her sister and lovingly served as her caregiver; Anasa Sue Short, Ashley and Gabriella Morris who was raised as her nieces and also lovingly cared for her; her cousins, George King, Danny King, Agnes King, and Frank King; as well as many other cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Gaye will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by everyone whose life she touched.

There will be a private grave side services at a later date.
