Fredrick Allen Hollandsworth

Fredrick Allen Hollandsworth, aged 83, of Boggs, passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2026, after an extended illness. Born on July 5, 1943, in Fairmont, Fred was the beloved son of the late Austin Hollandsworth and the late Cora Deloris Shaver.

Fred was a proud graduate of Cowen High School Class of 1961. He dedicated 22 years as a Temple Operator at Island Creek Coal Company. His service extended to the community through his work as a surveyor for the State Road and with the Webster County Assessor Office. Fred’s commitment also shone as a respected member of United Mine Workers and the Cowen Volunteer Fire Department.

Known for his love of sports and hunting, Fred cherished these pastimes alongside a circle of dear friends, neighbors, and his cherished son, Rick Hollandsworth.

He is reunited in peace with his beloved wife, Janet Hollandsworth, and his parents.
