Elizabeth (Libby) Ann Mccombs

Elizabeth (Libby) Ann McCombs, 78 of Camden On Gauley, WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 11, 2017. Surrounded by family, friends, and members of the church, she went peacefully to Heaven to be with her mom, dad, and sisters.

She was born June 8, 1939 in Summersville, WV a daughter of the late Guy E. and Clara E. (White) McCombs.

In addition to her parents, Libby was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice Tolley, Mary Withrow, and Betty Mathes.

She is survived by her brother James and wife Charlotte McCombs of Camden On Gauley, WV and their children: Stephen (Kayla) McCombs and Milissa (Rob) Wyatt. Dearest family friend, Mary “Betty” Hammonds, caregiver, Shawna Marsh, and many nieces and nephews are also left to cherish her memory.

Libby enjoyed many things: giving hugs, singing hymns, working puzzles, collecting pictures and cards of family and friends. She simply did not know a stranger and loved everyone. She attended Beaver Run Community Church faithfully and above all she loved worshipping her Savior, Jesus Christ. She always gave her prayer before eating and would pray each and every day for those she cared about.

Services will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00am at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, WV with Pastors Doug Martin and Randall Smallwood officiating. Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin, WV. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Funeral Home.
