Elizabeth Louise Gray

Elizabeth Louise Gray, 93, of Upper Glade, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at the Summersville Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was born January 27, 1926 in Charleston, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Earl and Gracie Wendell Newman. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Kay (Ron) Duff of Cowen, Keith (Dottie) Gray of Upper Glade, Sandra Greene of Upper Glade and Connie Myers of Indiana, brothers, David Newman of Florida and Ray Newman of Charleston, sisters, Jeannie Heater of Charleston, Nancy Norman of Florida and Linda Cole of Ohio, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and many other friends and neighbors.

In addition to her parents, husband, Jack Gray, son, Jackie Gray, brother, Herman Newman, sisters, Patsy Smith, Betty Ray, Marie Bowless, Gladys Adkins, Peggy Newman and Dorothy Nutter preceded her in death.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Nancy Newhouse officiating.

Inurnment will follow at the Given Cemetery, Upper Glade. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00am until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
