Edward (Eddie) Alan Plummer

Edward (Eddie) Alan Plummer, 73 of Mills Mountain, Dyer, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2021, at Summersville Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 14, 1948, in Camden on Gauley to the late Samuel Edward and Alma Fletcher Plummer.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Ammie Belden, Vida Giddings, and Mary Lou Plummer; and one brother, Roby Wilson Plummer.

Eddie was a gentle giant who would greet everyone with a kind smile on his face.  He was friendly to everyone he crossed paths with.  He enjoyed the company of others and loved telling stories to friends and family.  He is survived by his brother Jack Bailey of Fenwick, Melvin (Frances) Plummer of Summersville; sisters, Agnes Green of Erbacon, Frankie Long of Camden on Gauley, Glenna Schrock of Oakland, Maryland and Roberta Koenig of Baltimore, Maryland.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 13^th, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Mills Mountain Cemetery. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 12:00 pm until time of the service at the funeral home.
