Edward Lee “Chuck” Bragg

Edward Lee “Chuck” Bragg, 79, of Cowen, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born December 19, 1940 in Weston, a son of the late Herbert and Mary Rumbach Bragg.

Chuck was a retired coal miner, with over 30 years, from Island Creek Coal and was a proud member of the U.M.W.A. He was a member of the NRA and the North America Fishing Club. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, being in the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife Gladys Chapman Bragg, daughter, Alicia Brooks and Fiance’ Nicholas Price of Cowen, grandchildren, Okey Brooks, Natasa (Matthew) Johnson, Lucy Brooks, April (Chris) Lapetoda, great-grandchildren Brandon and Joshua Lapetoda and many other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, brothers Jacob Bragg, Ab Bragg, Tom Bragg and Steve Bragg preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Tom Kessler officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
