Doris Gaye Jarvis

Doris Gaye Jarvis, 71, of Bolair passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at her son’s home in Hamptonville, North Carolina after an extended illness. She was born September 27, 1948 in Richwood a daughter of the late Elza Garrison and Sylvia Gladys Cadle Cogar.

Doris was a former employee of the Webster County Solid Waste Authority. She enjoyed going to church, bird watching, traveling, gardening, reading and family gatherings.

Surviving are her children, Kenneth Richard “Richie” Jr. (Brenda) Jarvis of Hamptonville, North Carolina, Patricia A. Isabell and companion Dave Pittman of Cowen and Lori (Rich) Lewis of Bolair, sister, Millie (Bill) Morris of Bolair, grandchildren, Robby Isabell, Kara (Franklin) McCourt, Kadi Lewis and Charlie Jarvis.

In addition to her parent’s, husband Kenneth Richard Jarvis, siblings, Audrey Gadd, Vada Wyatt, Fred Cogar, Dorothy Casto and Gale Cogar preceded her in death.

Graveside Service will be held at 12:30pm Tuesday, September 14, 2020 at the Kenneth Richard Jarvis Family Cemetery, Gauley River Rd., Bolair with Pastor Doug Martin officiating.

Due to current Covid-19 pandemic it is recommended to follow State and CDC guidelines for social distancing and face coverings.
