Debra "Debbie" Diana Short

Debra Diana Short “Debbie”, 66, of Cowen, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at her home, after an extended illness. She was born December 13, 1954 in Richwood, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Albright “Bob” Wright and Asa and Icie Wirght who raised her.

Debbie was a homemaker, and a parent volunteer at Glade Schools, she loved cross-stitching, babysitting, crafting, flower gardening, she enjoyed listening to rock music, and always providing a helping hand to anyone in need.

Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Vic Short, children, Angel and Rex Johnson of Cowen, Vic Jr. and Samatha Short of Cowen, Lucas “Luke” Short of Cowen, Carrie and Aaron Hardway of Upperglade, brothers, Butch and Kevin Wright of Upperglade, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, along with several extended family.

In addition to her parents, Sister Sherry Raymond preceded her in death.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Old Farm Cemetery.
