Debra Kay Keaton, 74 of Cowen, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on November 1, 2025, at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, with her family by her side. Born on July 24, 1951, in Morgantown, she was a proud graduate of St. Frances High School.

Throughout her life, Debra blossomed in her role as a glass painter, contributing her talents to Seneca Glass, while also embracing her cherished responsibilities as a homemaker. She was known for her warmth and care, particularly in the kitchen, where she lovingly created home-cooked meals for her family and church family, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of sharing a meal in her home.

Debra was an active member of Halo Church. Her radiant personality and kindness endeared her to many, and she was involved in various community activities. She took pride in her role as a former president of the Humane Society, exemplifying her commitment to helping others.

In her leisure time, Debra found joy in riding and caring for horses, cooking, baking, painting, camping, and shopping. Living as a farm girl, she developed a profound love for the land and all its offerings. Her joyful spirit and vibrant presence will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Debra is survived by her devoted husband Roy Keaton, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage; their son, Franklin (Melissa) Keaton of Dandridge, Tennessee; and her granddaughter, Kaylee Keaton, also of Dandridge, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Yedlosky, and her mother, Olga Hedges Yedlosky.

Debra Kay Keaton's life was a testament to love, service, and joy, and her memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.

Debra's wishes for cremation have been honored. No additional arrangements have been made at this time.
