David Junior Barnhouse

David Junior Barnhouse, 71, of Camden on Gauley, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division after an extended illness. He was born April 25, 1949 in Fenwick, a son of the late Romie Furl and Edna Anna Lewis Barnhouse.

Dave was a former carpenter and he was a United States Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam War. His honors received include National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal and the Purple Heart. He was a former member of the American Legion and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and just being in the outdoors.

Surviving are his children, Keyra Barnhouse of Camden on Gauley, Lyla Barnhouse of Dixie and Chasity Arbogast of Erbacon, brother, Harold Barnhouse of Webster Springs, sisters, Dreama Addington of Craigsville and Evelyn Martin of Fenwick, grandchildren, Grace McCue, Stephen McCue, Chloe Hollmer, Jacob Hollmer, Brooke Collins and John Paul Collins and many other friends.

David’s wishes for cremation have been honored and a Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm. Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Richwood Cemetery with full Military Graveside Honors conducted by American Legion Post #62.
