Daniel Scott Stewart

Daniel Scott Stewart, 30, of Tioga, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 17, 2022 at his home. He was born February 26, 1992 in Summersville, West Virginia, a son of Daniel and Bonnie Thomas Stewart.

Scott was a mechanic at Northside Chevrolet for the last three years. Scott was always a hard worker, he ran rig on the pipeline for four years, worked in the mines for seven years, and he also ran heavy equipment in Atlanta for a construction company for two years. He loved hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, and teaching his boys all about hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and motorcycles. Scott had a huge heart and loved people, he always had a smile on his face, he loved spending time with friends and family, his boys were his entire world, his little sister was more than a sister she was his best friend and he loved her unconditionally. There was nothing Scott loved more than spending time with his boys and his family, he enjoyed hanging out with his cousins at the farm.

Along with his parents left to cherish his memory, are his two sons, Levi David Stewart and Bryson Scott Stewart, siblings, Brittany Cheyanne Stewart (Josh Johnson), Jayden Elle Anna Stewart, Jessie King, and Brandon Dennison, grandparents, Wilma Ernestine Thomas, Billie Richard “Rick” Thomas, aunts and uncles, Kristen (Eddie) Baldwin, Jennifer Bailey, Daniel Bailey, Jeff Stewart, Wes Stewart, Bubby Brown, Sue (Jack) White, Marlene (Sam) Donato, nieces and nephews, Tinley Tatum “Tater”, and Keegan, and numerous friends who will miss him dearly.

Scott is preceded in death by his grandma, Irene Gladys Stewart, grandfather, Johnny Howard Stewart, great-grandmother, Vera Ellen Boggs, great-grandmother, Hallie Dorris Thomas, and his great-grandfather, Billie Earl Thomas.

Scott made the decision to be an organ donor, and after his passing he was able to help multiple people in need by donating his organs.

A celebration of life will be held at Morris Funeral Home on Sunday October 23, 2022 at 12:00PM, with Pastor Polly Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Stewart’s Cemetery, Craigsville. Friends may call Saturday October 22, 2022 from 4:00-6:00PM at Morris Funeral Home in Cowen.
