Christopher Bryan “Poacher” Carpenter

Christopher Bryan “Poacher” Carpenter, 36, of Camp Run, WV, passed away tragically, August 6, 2021, from injuries received in an auto accident. He was born December 20, 1984 in Webster Springs, WV, the son of Francis and Twila Sigman Carpenter.

Christopher worked in the logging industry, was an equipment operator and a truck driver. He was a volunteer fireman. He enjoyed hunting bear and deer, working on heavy equipment and truck driving.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memory are his children, Maddison Paige Carpenter and John Wesley Carpenter, his sister Kathy (Thurman) Christian, niece Megan Christian and half-brother Ronald Carpenter of Las Vegas. He will also be remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by fiancé Cristal Hanshaw and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Services will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 2:00pm at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Carl Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Carpenter Family Cemetery, Camp Run. Friends may call from 12:00pm until time of the service at the funeral home.
