Charles Russell Harris

Charles Russell Harris, 61, of Erbacon passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport WV. Charles was born December 25, 1955, in Braxton County, a son of the late Victor Lorenzo and Ella Jackson Harris.

Charles was a former coal miner for Onieda Coal Company. He enjoyed hunting, farming and trading with his buddies. He loved his dogs, Bell, Cocoa, Babe, Coyote, and Willie.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda; Children, Teresa Harris of Erbacon and Michael Harris of Erbacon; Siblings: Ray (Mary) Harris of Exchange, WV, Donnie (Loretta) Harris of Erbacon, Bill Green of Erbacon, Eugene (Debbie) Harris of Little Birch, Wilda (Bill) Radcliff of Erbacon, Opal (Grover) Burge of Carpenter Fork, and Carol Harris of Erbacon; Aunt Mettie Thayer of Ohio, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, sisters Ruby Burch and Thelma Green and brothers Bruce Harris and Harold Myers preceded him in death.

Services will be held Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 2:00pm at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen. Burial will follow at Harris Family Cemetery, Erbacon, WV.
