Service will be held Monday June 17, 2024 at 1:00pm at Beaver Freewill Baptist Church, Craigsville with Pastor Mike Malcomb officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00pm until the time of service on Monday at the church. Burial will follow at Russell Cemetery in Craigsville. Charles Leslie Given “Les”, 88, of Craigsville passed away June 14, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born April 24, 1936, the son of the late Roy and Pearl Given.
Les was retired from the United States Forest Service. He was a member of Beaver Freewill Baptist Church. Les was a friend to many and the rock of his family. He was the best dad, father-in-law and pap in the world and will forever be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Wanda Given; his children, Andy (Susanne) Given and Crystle (Jerry) Clemens. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, Rachel (Rick) Floyd; Charlie (Kayla) Given, Nicholas Given, MacKenzie and JaAnna Clemens and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother James Given of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.
