Carrie Jane Christian Bay, 73, of Cowen passed away on January 24, 2024, at home after a lengthy illness. Jane was born June 6, 1951, in Richwood, the daughter of the late Zeph Christian and Edna Johnson Christian.

Jane was a 1970 graduate of Cowen High School. She was a homemaker and was a 4-H Leader in Webster County for over 30 years. Jane was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She volunteered at Glade Elementary School, the after-school program, the blood mobile and the Webster County Fair. Jane loved tending to her plants and shopping, of which she had many collectables.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Wayne Bay; brother, Harrison Christian and sister, Estie Christian.

Surviving are her daughters, Carrie (Kenneth) Green of Cowen and Kya Salisbury (Ryder Collins) of Cowen; sister, Mary “Missy” (Steve) McCartney of Cowen, granddaughter, Cynidel Hardin (Dustin Legg) and great grandchildren Aydan and Harrison Salisbury, Jackson, Jensen, Jameson and Hadley Legg.
