Carolyn Clayton Meadows

Carolyn Clayton Meadows, 75, of Cowen, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at Webster County Memorial Hospital. She was born May 20, 1943 in Cowen, a daughter of the late Otha and Zella Ervin Clayton.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Jehovah Witness Church, Summersville. Carolyn enjoyed painting, gardening and spending time with her animals and family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years John Meadows, children, Mary Jane Meadows of Brookwood, Alabama, Karen (Larry) Lynch of Amherst, Virginia, Dolly Jo (Danny) Bragg of Craigsvile and Stanley Trenter of Cowen, sister, Carol Cogar of Cowen, grandchildren, Lacoda Lynch, Savanna, Lynch, Truth Trenter, Chad Trenter, Tony Trenter, Cole Trenter, Nikki Trenter, Apache Meadows, Cherokee Meadows, Levi Bragg, Daniel Bragg and Jordan Frances, great-grandchildren, Phoenix Trenter, Aries Trenter, Mia Frances, Maddie Frances and Matthew Frances and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents son, Mark Meadows, brothers, Jack Ervin and Burton Ervin preceded her in death.

In keeping with Carolyn’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be 2:00pm. Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Brother Robert McElwain officiating.

Friends may gather from 12:00 until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
