Carolyn Sue Davis

Carolyn Sue “Susie” Davis, 61, of Cowen passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital.

Carolyn was born December 12, 1955 in Braxton County a daughter of the late Scott and Dorothy Radcliff Wolverton.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Myrtle Skidmore, James “Ronnie” Wolverton, Ruth “Connie See, William “Billy” Wolverton, Harold “Jacky” Wolverton, Delmas Conrad and great-grandson, Austin Lee Wolverton.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, She loved to take and collect pictures, crochet, shopping and going to the beach.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Edgar “Buddy” Davis, daughters, Alice (Mike) Criss of Cowen, Dorothy (Gary) Bender of Cowen, son, Freddie Wolverton of Ahoskie, North Carolina, step-children, Susan (Johnny) Smith of Conway, North Carolina, Carolyn Davis (fiancé John Newton) of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Johnnie Davis of Pendelton North Carolina, Shirley (Joe) Vaughan of Ahoskie, North Carolina and Shelia (Steve) Turner of Conway North Carolina. 6 grandchildren, 14 step grandchildren, 15 step great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Service will be 2:00pm. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Larry Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at the Woods Cemetery, Cowen.
