Carl Arthur Goff, 79 years of age, born on September 23, 1946, in Richwood, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, in Craigsville, West Virginia, surrounded by his beloved family. He was a remarkable individual whose life was marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a passion for life.

Carl was a proud graduate of Webster Springs High School and furthered his education by earning an associate degree from the University of Maryland. His commitment to excellence extended beyond academics; he served with honor in the United States Army for 23 years, achieving the rank of First Sergeant. Carl's military career included two tours of duty in Vietnam, where he demonstrated courage and leadership, earning numerous awards and citations for his combat actions.

In addition to his military service, Carl had a zest for life that revolved around leisure activities he cherished. He loved spending time with family and friends, sharing moments that created lasting memories. A sports enthusiast, he found joy in playing golf and was skilled at working on cars, pursuits that brought him happiness and satisfaction throughout his life.

Carl is survived by his loving family, including his daughter Michelle Diane Price of Webster Springs, and siblings: Leslie Goff of Bighton, Michigan, David Goff of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Maxine Woods of Bolair, West Virginia, Beverly Roode of Bolair, West Virginia, Doris Kingdon of Bolair, West Virginia, and Brenda Drennen of Cowen, West Virginia; grandsons, Barry Lee Price Jr. and Guy Duane Price; granddaughter, Brittany Price Carpenter and husband Matt; great-grandchildren, Hope Carpenter and Barry Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his son, Simon Goff; father, Woodrow Waitman Goff; mother, Naomi Estep Goff Taylor; sisters, Shirley Goff Cox Fisher, Sandra Sue Goff; and brother, Craig Lloyd Goff.
