Beverly Sue Tharp Mccourt

Beverly Sue Tharp McCourt, 43, of Erbacon, WV, went home to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning on October 13, 2021, at Webster County Memorial Hospital following a recent illness.

Beverly was a sweet, caring and loving wife, mother, and Gram-Gram. She was a very outspoken person who didn’t care to share her opinion.

She spent 25 loving years with her husband Waymon McCourt; who was the love of her life.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two sons Shane and Zach, and her granddaughter Willow, who meant the world to her. She enjoyed spending her free time horseback riding, four wheeler riding, floating down the river, busting wood and playing cards.

Beverly had many jobs in her life from Rite-Aid, home health care and working at a daycare. However, her favorite job was taking care of her grandbaby.

Beverly is survived by her husband Waymon and her two sons: Shane and Zach. She is also survived by her parents Daniel and Lorraine Tharp and her granddaughter Willow.

Her best friend in life was her mother Lorraine, who treasured her daily morning phone call with her daughter.

Beverly was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; Rosie and Elmar Tharp and Lerrie Coombs. She is also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Willis and Madalene McCourt. Beverly is also preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

Services will be held Monday, October, 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Doug Martin officiating. Burial will follow at McCourt Cemetery, Erbacon.  A gathering of friends and family will be held from 11:00 am until time of the service.
