Betty Leah Perrine Cool

Betty Leah Perrine Cool, 93, passed away June 9, 2019 in a hospice house near her home in Jacksonville Florida where she had resided for the past 25 years. She was born December 6, 1925 to Rush and Ocie Marie Perrine in Erbacon, West Virginia.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald, Denzil and Gilbert Perrine and stepmother, Jessie Waggy.

She is survived by one son David Cool and wife Angela and four grandchildren Deana Cool, Colin Cool, Kyle Cool and Ryan Cool all of Jacksonville, Florida. Also surviving are siblings, Lawrence “Tony” Perrine and wife Lenora of Akron, Ohio, Wilma Marie Smith and husband Gary of Weston, WV and Lois Dillon of Kingsport, Tennessee and a host of nieces and nephews.

Betty spent most of her life in Nicholas and Webster Counties, at Richwood, Cowen and Erbacon where she served as restaurant entrepreneur and owned and operated the Perrine Grocery Store. Upon retirement from the Store, she moved to Florida to be close to her son and his family and resided there for 25 years.

Betty was a member of the Trinity Covenant Church.

The Funeral will be conducted at the Trinity Covenant Church at Erbacon, WV on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Joe Salisbury officiating. Burial will follow in the Perrine Cemetery, Erbacon. Friends may call from 1:00 pm until time of service.
