Bessie Gay Hinkle

Bessie Gay Hinkle, 90, of Cowen passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 after an extended illness.

She was born August 9, 1929 in Coe, West Virginia, a daughter of the late General and Rosie Hammons Williams.

Bessie was a loving, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved and made sure everyone was taken care on. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by Faith.

Surviving are her daughters, Mary (Vic) Smith and Donna Champ. Six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents husband, Enos Hinkle, brothers, Adran Williams, Bennie Williams, Bruce Williams, Dennis Williams, Sisters, Mable Salisbury, Cora Beals, Ada Short, Goldie Russell, Freda Mullins, Audry Short and Callie Short preceded her in death.

Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Alex Williams Cemetery, Cranberry Ridge with Rev. Keith Williams officiating.
