Bernard Douglas Trenter

Bernard Douglas Trenter, 76, of Cowen, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019. He was born March 26, 1943 in Bolair, a son of the late Rufus and Iva Payne Trenter.

He was a former coal miner and worked at the Bolair Recycling Center. Bernard enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, drinking a cold one, watching western movies, playing with his dogs, eating peanut butter sandwiches, and  being outside.

Surviving are his brother Dempsey Trenter of Cowen, sisters Elizabeth Trenter and Esta McElwain both of Bolair and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, siblings Glenda Knight, Albert Trenter, Daisy Mae Alt, Tresta Colburn, John Henry Trenter, half-brothers Oliver Mullins and Freddy Brooks preceded him in death.

Bernard’s wish for Cremation has been honored and a private family service will be held at a later date.
