Artenna Mae Cogar

Artenna Mae Cogar, 94, of Webster Springs, passed away Saturday April 9, 2022 at Webster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a daughter of the late Monty Cogar and Clara Woodring Cogar Steele. She was born in Bolair on May 16, 1927.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Mahaffey, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, Sue Harrah, of Beaver, West Virginia, grandchildren, Bobby Cogar, of Bolair, Ronnie Cogar, of Fenwick Mountain, Bonnie Harrah, of Chilhowie, Virginia, Patricia Ross, of Conway, South Carolina, Tamara Mahaffey Martinez, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Jennifer Mahaffey Kennedy, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, along with ten great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Paulina Sill, Louise Hamrick, Maxile Morgan Cogar, and Denzil Steele.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Handschumaker Cemetery, Upper Glade, with Pastor Jim Varney officiating.   Friends may call from 1:00 pm-1:45 pm at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, WV.
