Arley Wayne Williams

Arley Wayne Williams, 58 of Cowen, passed away after a long battle with illness.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Williams and Susie Short Williams; sisters, Tessie Williams Christian and Genevieve Selman; brother, Willie Dale ”Pepo” Williams; niece, Margaret Selman and nephew, Delmas Selman.  He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Thayer Williams; daughters, Casey Ann (David) Tyler of Bolair and Lacey Rae (Timmy) Williams of Camden on Gauley; and his grandkids, Skylar Nicole (Austin) Graybeal of Cowen, Gabriel Wayne Stanley of Craigsville and Madison Cheyanne McQuerry of Snow Hill; nieces, Beverly (Jerry) Christian, Tammy (Mark) Coffman, Lisa Mathes, Kayla Williams and nephews, Denny (Teressa) Williams,  Arthur (Judy) Selman of Cowen and Steve (Betty) of Birch River, Frank Selman of Cowen and several great nieces and nephews.  Arley enjoyed camping, riding four wheelers, fishing and spending time with his family.  He was a logger by trade and was an avid outdoorsmen.  He was one of a kind and loved by many.  After fighting a long hard battle, he passed surrounded by loved ones.

Services will be held at 3:00pm. Friday, October 1, 2021 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Mark Coffman officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00pm until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
