Agnes Sherrill "Susie" Green

Agnes Sherrill "Susie" Green, affectionately known as Susie, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Charleston, West Virginia, at the age of 81 after an extended illness. Born on September 15, 1944, in Webster County, West Virginia, Susie was the cherished daughter of Samuel Edward Plummer and Alma Fletcher Plummer.

Susie's life was marked by deep devotion to her family and an unwavering sense of resilience. She built her world on the strong foundation provided by her parents, and throughout her life, she honored those values through her relationships and the kindness she extended to all who knew her.

Susie was a graduate of Cowen High School. She worked many years as a seamstress having worked on the Michael Jordan Clothing Line. She helped make clothing for stars of the Oscars, as well as making designer clothing for other famous athletes and politicians. She also had a hand in making the Class A uniforms for the United States Military.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with her family. Susie was also a big George Jones fan having an autographed guitar he signed for her.

She is survived by her loving son, Philip Green, and will be forever remembered by her grandchildren: Angela, Heaven, Hannah, Dylan, Peyton and 2 great grandchildren who brought her immense joy and pride throughout the years. Susie also leaves behind her beloved brothers: Jack Bailey, Melvin Plummer, sisters: Frankie Long, Glenna Schrock, and Roberta Koening. Their close bonds were a source of comfort and enduring strength to Susie throughout her life.

Susie was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ancil Green, with whom she shared many treasured years, as well as her beloved daughter, Angela Green. She also mourned the passing of her brothers, Roby and Edward Plummer; her sisters, Ammie Belden, Vida Giddings, and Mary Lou Plummer; and her parents, Samuel and Alma. Though they have gone before her, their memories shone brightly in Susie's heart.

While the details of her life’s accomplishments and pursuits are beyond the reach of these words, what endures is the legacy that Agnes Sherrill "Susie" Green leaves in the lives of those who loved her. She will be remembered for her enduring spirit, her commitment to her family, and the warmth she shared so freely with friends and loved ones alike.
