Wade Thomas ‘Tee” Frame Born November 17, 1923 in Richwood, WV, passed away at the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility at Clarksburg on Sunday, March 6, 2022. His first home was in Erbacon, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade Hampton and Eva Faye Thomas Frame, brother, Robert Hampton “Bob” Frame and nephew, Bobby Frame. Nearest of kin surviving family members: Cousins: Jim (Joann) Waggy of Charleston, Lou Ann (Ed) Fauber of Belle, WV, Tom (Dawn) Fox of Calhoun County, WV, Bobby Waggy of French Creek, WV, David Waggy of Buckhannon, WV and Rae Anne Withers of Fairmont, WV. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joan Marilyn Bragg Frame. Stepsons: Fred Jr. (Julie) Williams of Raleigh, NC and Thomas Dean “Tom” Williams of Cowen, WV.

Wade was a Methodist by Faith. He graduated from Weston High School in 1942 and attended Marshall College in Huntington, WV. Prior to attending college, he served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the U.S.S. Monticello as a radar man, and aboard the U.S.S. Europa (AP-177), formerly an Italian flag ship captured by the United States during the war. He earned ribbons for the European, Pacific and American theaters during the war.

After the war, Wade attended the Brooklyn Museum of Art School on an art scholarship and later attended the Skowhegan School of Art in Maine.

During the 1950’s, Wade was an employe by Glen L. Martin in Maryland, J.C. Penney in Ohio and by Ted and Nanny Thomas at the Richwood Maytag Appliance Store. He was a self-taught TV and Radio repairman by studying a correspondence course from Cleveland Electronics. After completion of the course, he received a 2^nd Class FCC License that prepared him for a position on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad where he began working in 1963 and ultimately obtained a 1^st Class FCC License. The B&O Railroad merged into the “Chessie System”, and then became the CSX Corporation where Wade retired in 1986. After retirement, Wade and his family moved to North Carolina but returned to Cowen in 1992.

He actively engaged and supported his stepsons, teaching them about the importance of education, art, electronics, photography, physics and more. He was a genuine and trustworthy person whom, always helped friends and family. He was also very compassionate towards animals.

Navy Motto: Honor, Courage, Commitment not only applied to his military service but to his daily life. Wade was a 50 year member of Camden Lodge #107 and served on the Cowen Library Board.

Wade’s wishes for cremation have been honored and a memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #62 will follow. Inurnment will be at the Thomas Plot of his parents in the Weston Masonic Cemetery.
