Vaughn Albert Rose, 89, of Birch River, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after an extended illness. He was born April 7, 1932 in Birch River, a son of the late Cleat and Mable Harris Rose.

Vaughan was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a former mechanic, hardworking and bible believing man.

Surviving are his children, Danny (Casey) Adkins of Birch River, Becky (Jason) Lyons of Birch River, Joseph Rose of Huntington, Shannon Adkins of Parma, Ohio, step-sons, Jack M. Holleman Jr., of Birch River, Jeff (Misty) Holleman of Walkertown, North Carolina and Jerry (Vicky) Holleman of Chesnee, South Carolina, brother, Jack (Daphene) Rose of Brooksville, Florida, sister, Pat (Brad) Campbell of Medina, Ohio and he was loved by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His daughter Becky, would like to thank and recognize his caregiver, daughter in law, Casey Adkins for her sacrifice and constant care of him over the years.

In addition to his parent’s, sisters, Audrey Rose, Amaryllis Gillespie and Nancy Brock preceded him in death.
