Services will be held at 2:00pm. Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Ercel Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Alex Williams Cemetery, Cranberry Ridge, West Virginia. Friends may call from 12:00 until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Vasil Addle Williams, 88, of Craigsville, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. He was born September 11, 1932 in Webster County, a son of the late Leonard and Ethel Thaxton Williams.
Vasil was a retired UMWA coal miner having worked over 40 years at Sewell Coal Company, Island Creek Coal Company and Gauley Mountain Mining. Vasil enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, collecting and working on gravely tractors. He was a Baptist by faith, a hard working, loving and caring father to his children.
Surviving is his loving wife, of over 67 years, Mary Ann Mullens Williams, children, Cathy (Bobby) Evans of Craigsville, David (Kay) Williams of Beckley, Lesa (Tom) Brown of Florida and Donald Williams of Craigsville, brother, Howard Williams of Indiana, grandchildren, Richard, Letetia, Terran, Josh, Greg, Matthew, Tyler, Gavin, Harley and Bryce and 13 loving great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, son, Danny Williams, brothers, Doy Williams, Everett Williams, Delbert Williams, Bernard Williams, Delmas Williams and grandson, Dustin preceded him in death.
