Shirley S. Williams, 73, of Beckley, formerly of Cowen, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley after an extended illness. She was born April 17, 1949 in Summersville a daughter of the late Bud and Audrey Jarvis.

Shirley was a graduate of Cowen High School. She was a licensed barber and had a barber shop for many years in Cowen. She was a former member of the Cowen Garden Club and the ladies auxiliary of Roscoe Miller Post #62. Shirley enjoyed gardening and spending time talking to family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Terri (Brad) Hayhurst of Beaver, Shannon Williams of Charleston, Thomas (Kelly) Williams of Beaver and Mitchell (Katie) Williams of Mt. Nebo, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many friends made over the years.

In addition to her parents, husband, Tom Williams preceded her in death.

Shirley’s wishes for cremation have been honored. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday March 26, 2023 at Woods Cemetery, near Cowen, with Rev. Marty Cowger officiating.
