Rosie Lee Smith, 76, of Upperglade passed away peacefully Thursday, November 14, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. She was born March 27, 1943 in Richwood, WV, a daughter of the late Boyd and Mabel Salisbury.

Rosie was a dedicated mother, nurses aid, and owner of Rosie’s Diner. She was a member of the Beaver Freewill Community Church and enjoyed cooking, bowling, gardening, camping, socializing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is her husband of 53 years, Frank Smith, brothers Robert Salisbury, Fred Salisbury, Willie Prater, Hilbert Salisbury, sisters Meryl Miller, Edith Mills, Helen Meadows, Reba Carpenter, and son-in-law Dwayne Salman.

Surviving are children, Jennings Salisbury, Charles (Pam) Smith, Pattie Selman, Franklin Smith, Richard (Sarah) Smith and stepson, Paul Sill.  Grandchildren: Ashley Smith, Timothy Smith, Keith Selman, Cody Sill, Jessica Sill, Avery Smith, Lillian Smith, Harper Smith, Jennifer Salisbury, Carrie Salisbury, Susan Fults, April Salisbury, Melinda Salisbury, Justin Salisbury. Great-grandchildren: Payton Selman, Jaina Faith Casteel, EmmaGaye Nicholson, Christian Fults, Morgan Fults, Taylor Ward, Katana Ward and Jessi Ward.

Service will be 2:00pm. Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Doug Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the Handschumacher Cemetery, Upper Glade. Friends may call from 12:00 until time of service, Sunday, at the funeral home.
