Services will be held at 4:00pm, Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Pastor Larry Lovely and Pastor Gary Cogar officiating. Burial with follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen. Friends may gather from 3:00pm until time of the service at the funeral home.

Robert A. “Bob” Tyler went to Heaven on July 12, 2021, to be with his family and friends that went before him. He was born June 1, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Aaron “Squirrley” Tyler and Opal Utt Tyler.

Bob was a member of Half Acre Church and a kind, loving family man. He was a kid at heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, and four wheeling and was a man of many talents. He was a coal miner for over 20 years, working for Island Creek and later WV Trucking Co.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Tyler, mother Opal Utt Tyer, children Cheryl Lynn (Tim) Jackson of Cowen, Travis Nathaniel Tyler of Cowen, and Sabrina Dawn Tyler of Cowen. Sister Lenora “Hub” (Tony) Perrine of Ohio. Grandchildren, Tyler Shain Stewart, Haden Nicole Tyler, and Tristian Steven Tyler. Great granddaughter Emalie Stewart.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Anna Lee (Harold) Springston, paternal grandparents Henry and Amma (Weese) Tyler, maternal grandparents, Ralph and Bessie (Carpenter) Utt, grandson Randall Stewart II, mother and father-in-law, Leroy and Goldia (Ware) Chambers.
