Paul Phillip Wilson, 67, of Cowen, WV, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at Summersville Regional Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1951, in Elkins, WV, a son of Eugene T. Wilson and the late Martha Britton Wilson.

Phillip was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a 1969 graduate of Webster Springs High School and a 1992 graduate of Wheeling Barber College. He retired after 30 years from coal mining, last working for Brooks Run Coal Company. He was a member and past officer of American Legion Post 62 Cowen where he also served in the Honor Guard, a member of the KP Lodge, a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, a former member and Assistant Chief of the Cowen Volunteer Fire Department. He was a former police officer in Cowen and Webster Springs. He was an EMT. Phillip loved to build and fly model planes, woodworking, fishing, hunting, camping and drinking coffee in the mornings with all the regulars at the Hilltop Diner.

In addition to his father, left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Bobbisue Wyatt Wilson, daughters, Sarabeth (Derek) Clark of Lexington KY, Jessica (Scotty) Laxton of Cowen, brothers Dennis (Ann) Wilson of Webster Springs, Eugene T. Jr (Vickie) Wilson of Winfield, WV., sisters Lynn (Loye) McCourt of Cowen, WV, and Susan (Dana) Hackworth of Summersville, WV and grandson Christopher Albert Laxton of Cowen, WV, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
