Patricia Ann “Patty” Knapp Palmer, 63, of Summersville, WV, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at WVU Summersville Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born March 9, 1958, in Richwood, a daughter of the late William Wayne and Martha Dempsey Knapp.

Patty was an artist and was a very talented painter and crafter. She enjoyed spending time with family and walking in nature.

She is survived by her children: Gary Palmer of Cowen, Samantha Palmer of Summersville, and Amanda Auxier of South Carolina. Siblings: George Knapp of Cowen, Bub Knapp of Oak Hill, Alice Hamrick of Glade View, Myrtle Lee of Upper Glade, Hazel Knapp Russell of Cowen, and Twilla Evans of Camden on Gauley. Grandchildren: Malachi Palmer, Mathias Palmer, Kage Auxier, Kiana Epps, Cheyne Auxier, Troy Epps,  Adah Auxier, Hadley Palmer and Sienna Palmer.

In addition to her parents, infant granddaughter Tyrinn Auxier preceded her in death.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 11:00am until 1:00pm Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen. In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
