Norma Kay “Katy” Hamrick

She has 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was a devoted Christian who spent many years with her husband singing at nursing homes and volunteering at the Mountain Market Place Mission before her health declined. She loved to write, research family history. She also very much enjoyed her flowers and birds that embarked her front yard. She was extremely talented with her hands being very creative for her family throughout the years from making personal Christmas ornaments to writing the grandkids lil’ illustrated books personalized to them. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving is her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Hamrick, children, Charles Chris Chapman and wife Annie of Cottle, Robert Lee Chapman of Fairland, IN., Daughter, Melissa Kay Deetz and husband Todd of Canvas, WV., siblings, Kenneth Smith of Charleston and Donna Pelfrey of Ohio and many extended church family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Goff U. and Artie Miller Smith, son, Henry “Johnny” Chapman II, brother, Ernie Smith and sister Judy Sparks .
