I’m so very sorry to hear of Goob’s passing. I ran into him often while he was still working and not one time did He not have that huge grin on his face. We played basketball against each other in 1974 & 1975 Let me tell you he was a load. Richwood and NCHS had epic battles back then. Little did I know though that I was making a life long friend. We had the chance to reminisce a few years ago and I enjoyed every second of it. I will miss him.

Mike had a heart of goal and a personality that put everyone at ease. He was good humored, friendly and an all around great guy who will be missed by all who knew him. Prayers of God’s peace, comfort, and love to Barbara, his children, and grandchildren, you all were the apple of Mike’s eye.

Sandra, I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. I pray that God will give you strength and comfort in the days to come. I hope your special memories of him will make this time a little easier to bear.

You always knew when Goob was around whether you could see him or not. His voice was unmistakable. He was one of those rare people you just loved to look up and see walking toward you with his big smile and a, "Hey there how are ya!" He always greeted you with a smile and always had something positive and uplifting to talk about. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. I had many conversations about many topics with Mike over the years and I will miss seeing him around town. Our community will be a lesser place without him. Laura, Matt and Barbara........ I can't begin to imagine how much his loss has devastated your family. Anyone who knew him always knew they had a friend in him whether they realized it or not. He will be sadly missed......
