Martin Denver Boggs, 68 of Cowen passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2017 at the VA hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born April 28, 1948 in Richwood, WV, a son of the late Burnell and Wavelene Samson Boggs.
Martin was a retired coal miner having worked 20 plus years in the industry, most recently with the Boggs and Murphy Mines. He was a 1966 graduate of Cowen High School, a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Martin enjoyed riding four-wheelers, working on vehicles and watching his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Kevin (Stacy) Davis of Cowen, grandchildren Stephen Michael, Kaley, Madison, Trace and Baylee.
In addition to his parents, sister Alma Boggs proceeded him in death.
